Wilhite and the next two athletes in this report surprised me with their impressive junior seasons. I did not expect to see them this high on the state leaderboard. Wilhite collected 250 kills and 223 digs for Gardner-Edgerton last fall. I did not see the Trailblazers play last season, but a close look at Wilhite’s numbers shows that she can make a solid argument for being ranked too low by Prep Dig Kansas. In three seasons with the Trailblazers, she has recorded career numbers of 816 kills, 813 digs, and 1,126 serve receptions.

Wilhite is an athlete I have not seen play in person, but she posted impressive numbers as a sophomore for the Trailblazers. She is ranked No. 114 overall and is set to make a big jump up the rankings when they are updated in May. She finished her sophomore campaign with 326 kills and 332 digs. She is a six-rotation talent who plays club ball with Pohaku .

Wilhite displayed some of the best physicality of the pin players on Sunday. She has good block technique allowing her to send back a fair share of balls. As an attacker, she has a big arm and a good array of shots in her toolbox. She is a player to keep an eye on this club season.
