We last discussed Schutte’s terminal prowess after the club season, but she’s getting it done on the prep side, too. This dynamic outside hitter just announced her pledge to Fort Hays State, keeping her vast volleyball talents close to home. Gardner-Edgerton knows all about her incredible range, yielding over four kills per set in Schutte’s junior campaign. It’s a huge jump from her 2025 output, and Schutte’s power tells a lot of the story. She has a knack for tooling off hands and giving opposing defenders little chance to make a play. Those are the traits that pay off at the next level.

PVA has done its part to add to Kansas’ tremendous 2028 talent. Schutte’s pin-to-pin excellence helped 16 Elite lock up its Open bid at Show Me after several prior qualifier runs. The Gardner-Edgerton junior’s snappy right arm is only part of what makes her a game-changing recruiting target. Her willingness to run first-ball routes and swing from anywhere has made her a “moldable” athlete for college coaches.

PVA 16 Elite saved its best for last. This upstart crew followed up a top-ten finish in Windy City’s 16 Open division with a fifth-place effort at the Show Me Qualifier. This bid journey would not have been possible without Schutte, a high-flying outside hitter who brings unparalleled pace on up-tempo ‘go’ sets. Some of 16 Elite’s most dramatic Show Me moments were engineered by Schutte’s energy, fire, and unlimited range. She is ready-made for the GJNC stage.
