Anais has a lot of great tools that make her a highly effective setter. Watching her in drills setting, it was easy to see that she has great form that helps her be able to set all hitters from multiple locations on the floor. She seems to move very fast and is able to get in a good position to set her offense. She had strong hands and even uses those hands in defense when the times calls for it. Her footwork in setting and in defense was great to see, as her technique was flawless in her movement from setting to getting to base, and then in a great defensive position.

On top of being a athletic and fluid mover, she is also someone who can run a team and offense during game play. She plays with a lot of energy and was fun to watch be a cheerleader for her team and hyped them up. She was always communicating with her hitters and giving directions about what to run on offense. Another aspect about her game is that she runs great tempo on all her middle sets, anytime I saw her set a middle they were getting kills at a high rate, which was attributed to her and the placement she was giving them. I didn’t know Anais before the showcase, but her play and effort during the showcase really demonstrated she should be a name on our radar!
