Ayala (pictured) is an all-around solid player for the Wildcats that puts pressure on opposing defensive specialists with her polarizing jump serve. Ayala has an outstanding attack approach, extension and finish to terminate balls for Valor Prep. Ayala recovers quickly after being blocked to dig up balls and keep plays alive. She is not afraid to tip over double blocks. Ayala said she’s tried to become a better leader this season with Valor Prep adjusting to a new libero and setter this season.

Ayala simple dazzles on the court. She has powerful line and cross shots. Ayala produces from all six spots on the court. She combines an incredible amount of power and athleticism that wows people. She is also sound on defense. Ayala makes a number of controlled passes. She only dives out of necessity.

One can tell Mejias is a highly-talented athlete once she takes the court. She continuously finds way to hit over and around double blocks whether line or cross shots. Mejias even takes hard back row swings. Mejias has developed a powerful spinning jump serve. Mejias gives the team sound play at all six spots on the floor. Mejias dives for balls when necessary, yet stays under control. Mejias more than handles her role on both teams.
