For Aniyah, the inaugural Vegas For Athletes Summer Games was an opportunity to compete, build new relationships, and be part of something bigger. The team’s energy throughout the event made the experience one she’ll never forget.

What was your favorite part of being part of the inaugural Vegas For Athletes Summer Games, and why?

“Being a part of the VFA Summer Games was amazing. My favorite part was getting to compete with everyone again, not only alongside new people but also for a great cause. It made the experience even more meaningful.”

Is there a match or moment you’ll remember for a long time?

“The energy our team had throughout the entire tournament is something I’ll always remember. Everyone had great personalities, and when it was time to cheer, you could hear us from anywhere in the gym. That kind of team chemistry made the event so much fun.”

Would you participate again next season?

“I would love to participate in the VFA Summer Games again next summer. I’m excited to see how the event continues to grow.”

Aniyah continues to impress with her combination of athleticism, consistency, and offensive production. Light on her feet, she elevates well and attacks with authority, making her a difficult matchup for opposing blockers. Her high contact point and quick swing allows her to score around and over blocks, and she consistently finds ways to terminate rallies. Aniyah (Bib #39) had some of the cleanest, strongest swings at the event. She executed on nearly every type of set to get off a high-quality attack, mixing great approach mechanics with a powerful arm. Aniyah is a 5’4” freshman with an incredible vertical and a powerful swing. Playing outside hitter for Nectr 16s, she’s an exciting player to watch, with her attacks often leading to kills that fire up her team. She’s also solid in the back row, handling serve receive and defense with ease. Aniyah is quickly making a name for herself as one of the strongest hitters in the class of 2028.
