Avery Bartelink is the Avoli Committed Athlete for the NorCal StockUp Showcase in Ripon, CA.

Avery Bartelink checked every box a showcase can offer. She earned Top Performer honors, was named the San Francisco Signal Showcase Icon, and drew praise from a college coach who flagged her as a Division 1 prospect, all before being named the Avoli Winner of the Showcase. That is not a coincidence. It is what happens when a setter shows up with clean hands, a clear plan, and the composure to execute it under pressure.

She operates the offense with tall, strong mechanics and a vertical, court-wide awareness that lets her read the defense before she ever touches the ball. Her hands are clean and consistently deliver to the pin, but what makes her difficult to defend is the deception underneath that consistency. She places the ball with intention, often working the back corner, and disguises where she is setting well enough that blockers cannot commit early. She communicates constantly across the court, and she can put the ball away herself with a strong arm when the offense calls for it. Her court communication stands out, and she pairs it with real offensive range, capable of attacking with a strong arm and placing shots strategically to the back corner when the look presents itself. As a tall setter, her mechanics hold up under pressure, and her court awareness lets her read plays before they fully develop, which makes her difficult for blockers to key on. Off the court, Avery balances high-level athletics with academics, maintaining a 4.3 GPA, earning varsity spots in both volleyball and basketball, and helping her high school team reach the NorCal State Semifinals.
