About Asa

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Aggressive, athletic, fast, and smart

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I'm only 5'8", but I play big. I love to compete and high pressure moments do not intimidate me.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I help lead worship outside of volleyball season at GracePoint Church in Benton.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Making a move to setting has really helped be become a player who loves to make others look better. I'm learning what it means to lead and run an offense. I am really learning a lot of mental skills that help me stay in a competitive state and move on from mistakes quickly, which helps me lead my team and the offense better!

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I just started setting last year after being a middle for two years. I'm very thankful for the move and am proud of my development so far. I'm excited about my future as a setter with some of the top hitters my age in the state.

What type of college are you looking for?

I want to play at the highest level I can. Both of my parents played at Arkansas (football and softball), so I am not afraid of that journey. I know that I will land at the best place for me and will be recruited by coaches that value the skills I have! I'm not concerned about the level I will play at, but want to go to a place that values what I bring to the table as an athlete!

Perry has the ability to push the ball to the pins on not so great passes. She can also be seen swinging on the right side and scores many of points from her hard driven attacks. Perry is also very scrappy out of the back row picking up the hard driven attacks and digging up shots from the opposing attackers.
