Walsh Jesuit had one of their best seasons in recent years at 13-11 overall as O’Brien led them offensively at 3.2 k/s on 252 total kills. She returns to her AVC squad that features a handful of capable arms through each rotation as her effort last year at the right pin helped create some good balance in their point scoring. A key part of her game going forward will be her explosiveness off the floor that, if increased, will benefit her attacking as well as her ability to defend at the net against opposing outside hitters.

O’Brien finished her freshman season with a 3.2 k/s average on a 67% kill rate and .476 efficiency for Walsh Jesuit. Her efficiency is impressive given she led the Warrior’s offense at the pins throughout the season. Her effort landed her among the top performing freshmen in Division II this past high school season. Look for her to swing and defend from both sides of the net this coming club season as she’ll compete for AVC 15 White.

O’Brien is proving to be an impact right side threat as a freshman for Walsh Jesuit. Her contributions has helped the Warriors eclipse their total wins from the 2024 season within their first 10 matches of 2025 as they are 7-4 overall. Having seen her live during the club season and getting a chance to watch some of her action through film so far this high school season, O’Brien looks much improved over that span. the quality of her approach work and contact in the air is more fluid and she has increased her range to move the ball around upon contact.
