About Aubrie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am an athletic, offensive setter with purposeful movements. These skills allow me to "save" tight passes above the net and become a scoring threat with setter dumps. Versatility in movements enable me to make plays on even the most difficult situations and unideal passes. I provide a wide range and variety of sets that keep opponents off balance.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a mentally-tough and resilient player that remains even keeled no matter the circumstance. I find value in being the "silent leader" by encouraging others to take credit for positive outcomes but being the first to take accountability when situations need to be addressed. I will always lead by example with my work ethic and selflessness which is key in a team leader.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Honor Roll Student for every semester of high school. Member of Student Class Council. Ramona Middle School Female Student Athlete of the Year Ramona Middle School Scholar Athlete of the Year

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Church and school involvement has taught me the value of being a servant to others and appreciate the diversity that our community is blessed with. As a member of Class Council at Bonita High School, my role is to lead and motivate other students to create ideas and activities that encourage school involvement and pride in our community.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The "path of least resistance" has never been an option for me. Early on, I would struggle with failure when competing at higher levels. While tempting to lower standards, I found the value in struggling and pushing though for personal growth. That has taught m the value of hard work and dedication in academics and athletics and to always compete to the highest level.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm excited for the opportunity to look for an institution that encourages personal and athletic development. Accountability has been a life-long value that I have been raised by and looking to carry that over in my academic and athletic career.
