Jackson set for the AJV 15 Adidas team that ended up in second place with six wins and a loss. A tall setter, she kept her team’s offense running very smoothly with her intelligent distribution. Always accurate and making excellent decisions when on the ball, she managed to get the most out of each of her hitters, putting them in the best possible position to score play after play. Her extremely well-rounded game also showed on the back row, as she made an impact from the service line and was very efficient when playing defense.

Ava Jackson Ava Jackson 5'10" | S Weiss | 2029 State TX has a calm control that stands out right away. She doesn’t rush, she builds the offense and lets it develop. Her hands are clean, her location is consistent, and she makes hitters comfortable no matter the situation. What really separates her is her decision-making. She understands when to settle the play and when to push tempo, and that balance keeps everything connected. Please welcome Miss Jackson to the Prep Dig Texas State Ranking List. She is currently ranked as the No. 36 overall player in the 2029 grad class. Ava is a 5’10” setter from Weiss High School who competes for Austin Juniors Volleyball Club. She brings good size to the setter position along with the ability to impact the game at the net. Ava delivers a consistent ball and shows a developing feel for tempo, allowing her hitters to stay comfortable and in rhythm. She moves well and is able to extend plays, showing composure when forced out of system. There is a calm confidence in the way she runs the offense, making steady decisions rather than forcing plays. Her size also allows her to be a factor as a blocker, adding another layer to her game. She continues to grow into a leader on the court, directing traffic and managing the flow of the match. Ava will garner a lot of attention from college scouts as they see she has the frame and skills to match in order to play at the next level.  We will be watching her very closely and you should as well. Ava Jackson Ava Jackson 5'10" | S Weiss | 2029 State TX , setter for Austin Juniors 15 Adidas, does an excellent job of controlling the tempo at the net and keeping her hitters in rhythm, allowing her team to run a smooth and efficient offense. She delivers consistent, well-placed sets that give her attackers confidence in every play. Beyond her setting, Ava contributes with a strong and reliable serve that helps her team start each point with momentum. She commands the court with confidence, showing strong leadership and a steady presence that elevates the play of those around her.

Jackson and her AJV 15 Adidas team ended the tournament in third place, with a campaign of four wins and one loss. Her game was very technical and smooth, as even when working with passes off the net, she was still able to keep their offense in system. Jackson moved very well on the court and used her firm and talented setter hands to remain accurate with her locations, while also standing out for her balanced distribution. The setter also played strong defense at the right back position and generated transition plays for her side.

Miss Jackson is currently an unranked prospect in the 2029 class according to our Texas State Rankings, but that is only because we have not released them yet.  She plays volleyball at Weiss High School and also for the Austin Juniors volleyball club.  A lot really stands out about this phenom.  First of all, she has the frame and power already at a young age that will bring a lot of attention her way as a recruit.  Secondly, she is one of those setters that plays elite level defense like a libero out of the right back zone.  Her base is super strong and always balanced at the point of contact.  Her platform angles redirect the ball to a perfect location for her libero to take the second contact and set up attackers in a position to succeed.  As a setter, I love how she uses her natural athleticism and speed to be in perfect position to deliver the ball to her attackers.  She is super smooth as she moves around the court tracking passes and transitioning to offense.  Equipped with soft hands and precise location, this young lady needs to be on everyone’s radar already as a freshman.  There is no doubt that she will eventually be listed on our State Ranking List.  Stay tuned to see when she makes it and where she falls on it.  Please help us congratulate her on earning a Top Performer award at our showcase. 

Jackson was part of the AJV 14 Adidas team that, despite playing one age group up, dominated the division in Houston, getting six wins and one loss. Her setter duo with Marisa Porter Marisa Porter 5'8" | S/DS/L Burnet | 2029 TX was one of the team’s strengths as they not only kept their offense in a good rhythm all day, but also made good plays when needed. Jackson’s setting was excellent, as she did a great job of getting all her hitters involved, while keeping her precision even when working with passes off the net. She also used her excellent all-around game to contribute in other areas of the game, playing defense at a high level and serving well.
