I have not had many chances to watch FEVA this club season, so Wave 6 was a great opportunity to catch up with its top 16s team. After grinding though 3 days of pool play, they earned a spot in the Gold Bracket on the final day. I have only really seen Kujak as a middle, but was happy to see her out there as an outside. Her athleticism, versatility, and overall skill set translate really well to the position. She was putting balls away from the pin, cleaning up off target balls, and was finding ways to score even when the play wasn’t perfect. She looked comfortable and gave her team someone they could lean on in big moments.

I was able to watch FeVA 16U Jeff out of Western Wisconsin play at the Prep Dig Resolution way back in January.  I always enjoy seeing the progress of teams over the course of the season.  An outside hitter to know on this team is Ava Kujak Ava Kujak 5'10" | OH WI .  She is able to play six rotations holding her own on the defense while being a lethal attacker.  She is smart out of system where she knows how to locate her swing and when to terminate. 

Ava Kujak Ava Kujak 5'10" | OH WI stood out right away for FeVA 16 Jeff where she could score points from the outside.  Watching her compete throughout the weekend I could see her IQ as the matches would get tighter.  She know how to make the smart shot. She was someone that was dependable out of system.  Everyone looks for an outside to score points – which Kujak does.  However, she was pretty smart with how she was able to better the ball from the pin.  This was a really scrappy FeVA team who is going to win a lot of matches this club season. 

Kujak impressed from the first moment I walked up to her court. A beast in the middle, Kujak contributes on both offense and defense. She has good footwork and a fast arm swing. She varied her shots and hammered down several kills to the deep corners on both sides of the court. Kujak also used her quick lateral movements to close the block stopping attackers on both the right and outside pin. Kujak is going to be one to keep tabs on she continues to grow and develop her game.
