Ribakovs and her Katy Stars 18 Elite team are entered in the American Division. A very technical player, she typically doubles up as a setter and right side hitter, being a key piece in her team’s playing system. A lefty, Ribakovs does very well offensively, using her length and vision to keep her production consistent and to find solutions to difficult plays. A truly all-around player, she also helps in other areas of the game, such as passing and blocking.

Ribakovs featured for the Katy Stars 18 Elite side that ended up in second place after earning three wins and a loss. The left-sided hitter was excellent offensively for her team, showing a wide array of shots and being very successful with her choices up at the net. Ribakovs also made a solid impact with her blocking, reading opponents well, and reacting on time above the net. An excellent all-around player, she was very accurate when she had to set in transition.

Ribakovs is a new face with Katy Stars 18 Adidas this season and will be with the team in the 18s division. A tall and technical setter, she has a strong all-around game and is often one of the cornerstones in the teams she plays. Ribakovs is very reliable and productive with her setting, doing a good job of pushing the tempo when in system. A lefty, she’s a huge asset at the net, doing very well with her blocking and acting as a right side hitter and delivering at a very high level. Ribakovs can also be part of her team’s serve-receive system if needed and plays solid defense.

The senior was excellent in her dual role on the right and was a big part of Jordan’s best moments in the match. Ribakovs’ playmaking was excellent, as she picked her setting options very intelligently and played fast when she could to help her hitters avoid Seven Lakes’ big blockers. The left-handed player was more needed than usual offensively and responded well, producing at a high volume and putting the ball down in key moments for her team. Ribakovs also appeared well playing defense and contributed to the team’s serve-receive efforts in some rotations.

Ribakovs will be in action at Langham Creek HS on Thursday, where her team Jordan is scheduled to face College Station, Travis and Langham Creek. The senior is a key player in the team, splitting her time between setting and hitting duties on the right and thriving in both roles thanks to her excellent all-around game. Ribakovs does solid work with her ball-handling and is very good at splitting the load among her hitters. On offense, she is a tenacious hitter, who has a great deal of power and technical skills in her left arm, and can score on anyone consistently. Ribakovs also blocks well and plays solid defense on the right, contributing to the team’s game in many different ways.

The junior right side was again a key player for Jordan, using her impressive all-around game to help her team succeed in a complicated and important match. Ribakovs excelled in her setting duties, making good choices with her ball distribution and keeping the team in a strong offensive rhythm. She also had a nice blocking presence, getting some stops and touches and forcing Taylor’s hitters to make errors when they tried to go around her. Ribakovs’ offensive game improved a lot throughout the match and she did a great job scoring in difficult situations in the fourth set.

The junior right side was instrumental in Jordan’s victory with her all-around game. Ribakovs split her time between setting and hitting and was excellent in both roles. As a playmaker, she did a very good job with her ball distribution and remained precise during the entire match. Ribakovs was one of the team’s main scoring options and was extremely productive, using her length and power to score, but also finding nice angles with her skilled left hand and making very few errors. He hit on the right and also on the middle in some combination plays.

Playing on the right, Ribakovs is a key piece for Jordan, contributing in several areas of the game. A six-footer and a lefty, she’s one of the team’s main offense weapons and uses her length and explosiveness extremely well to beat blockers and put the ball down. Ribakovs also has excellent ball control and her team benefits from it by incorporating her into their serve-receive system, adding a lot of stability to their passing. The right side hitter is also a solid blocker and produces on defense, getting several touches at the right back position.
