First-year program, Waterloo United, was running a 6-2 when I saw it competing at Iowa City High during mid-September. Moore was part of the 1-2 punch at setter. The freshman looked calm, cool and collected facing a ranked opponent on the road so early in her prep career. She tied for the team lead in assists, displaying a strong feel for playing the position. Moore flows well with match action, moves quickly to meet passes and sets the ball where attackers can tee off. She makes sound decisions on where to go with the set. A good athlete, Moore competed as an eighth-grader for the Waterloo West softball team this summer. She is a volleyball prospect with plenty of potential as well.
