Young produced the second most kills for first-year Waterloo United when I watched the Titans compete at Iowa City High during a mid-September MVC match. The senior also paced the squad in blocks. Not the tallest player at the net, she succeeds with quick bounce off the court, a solid vertical leap and keen timing. Young is ready when her number is called and could see her production rise with more opportunity. She has upside to get the ball down through and around the block, and in throwing up a block to stifle the opposing attack.
