About Avery

What's your biggest strength as a player, and how does it show up in games?

My reaction time at the net is my biggest strength. My agility and read of the ball keeps the ball in play in those moments where the play did not go as planned.

What are you working to improve right now?

Currently I am working to read sets faster so I can get my shoulders square to the net and close to the block

What are you looking for in a college program?

I want to continue playing the sport that I love while also committing to my studies. I want to be both a student and an athlete, having a balance of both. I have been lucky enough to always have a family culture in both my Club and Varsity experiences, this is something I value and also want in a college program. I would like to be at least an hour from home, I am ready for new experiences!

Outside of your sport, what should coaches know about you?

I always have a busy schedule but I enjoy some down time to reconnect with myself. I value time with my friends, time with family, and time to myself. I can identify when I need it and It's something I prioritize to avoid burnout.

What do you want to study, and what career interests you?

I am currently undecided. I have been exploring Radiology or Sports Psychology
