Trout earned fourth-team all-state honors this past fall for a Center Point-Urbana team that took Mid-Prairie to five sets before falling in a Class 3A regional final at Wellman. She produced 219 kills (.253) and 44.0 blocks in 99 sets played. I’ve scouted Trout throughout the last few years but have not seen her yet this club campaign. It’s been a good one. She helped United 17-1 Elite win the Iowa Regional Tournament, which came with a National Division bid to this summer’s USAV National Tournament in Indianapolis. In watching her hammer out 32 kills in the regional at Mid-Prairie, there’s a versatile attack with the ability to end points on the outside, from the middle or in cranking out a swing on the slide. She’s strong defensively at the net, reading the attack well. Trout operates with a great tempo and effort, playing the game the way it was meant to be played.

Brielle Trout Brielle Trout 6'0" | MB Center Point-Urbana | 2027 State IA brings athleticism and physicality to the court where she has been a stand out at Center Point-Urbana  and has found a spot with Iowa United 161 Elite.  This will be a team to beat heading into Iowa Regionals this weekend.  As a middle blocker, Trout connects well with a  quick tempo from her setters and is able to score points, as well as close the block, work in transition, and be available to score points.
