About Brynlee

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I play to win and find a way to help the team using my skills to the best of my ability.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

  For Mental Toughness I’ve overcome difficult challenges from pressure in games when I’m not having the results I’m striving for, to staying motivated after a loss, or if something feels off. I believe in pushing through and working harder intentionally with the team to get over the hump.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I started working at Pet Suites last summer and enjoy taking care of the dogs. I also coach Little Spikers and ref at Northern Lights. Previously, I was a Sunday School teacher for a pre-k class and a camp leader for VBS.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Leadership – Leading by example on and off the court and motivating teammates Teamwork – Forming great bonds with teammates and always being someone they can come to for anything. Time Management – Balancing academics, practices, and competitions     

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

I haven’t had significant challenges. A difficulty I’ve encountered is being an undersized pin who can jump. I’m switched around on the court from OH, RH, or DS each season so I’ve learned new positions and work hard to play at the designated position. This helped me become a more versatile player and increase my vb IQ so I’m thankful for the experience.     

What type of college are you looking for?

My desire is to play for a strong volleyball program. I’m looking for a team with a great culture and desire to be the best we can be on and off the court.
