Player Bio

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am smart and composed. I love to lead the offense. I play in your face and bring lots of energy.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My goal as the setter is to elevate those around me. I remain calm and I make quick decisions. I am competitive and my desire to see my team succeed is evident on the court or on the sidelines. My over the top personality is definitely shown in the game.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

Ruby Little Leadership Award (given to one female in my grade chosen by the staff) BJH Cheerleader

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

As of the end of my 8th grade year, I have had the opportunity to volunteer at our church. Being a cheerleader we have served in the community in various ways. As the youngest on my volleyball team, I have learned how to lead as an underclassman. I have taken the time to learn my teammates and their personalities and they respond best on the floor in games and in practice.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My biggest challenge so far is my size. I am currently "undersized" for the game of volleyball. I hear that, a lot!!! I haven't let that stop me. My family tends to grow later than most and I know I'm just getting started. They told my sister she needed to play back row in the 9th grade. She was "undersized." Many school passed on her because of that. She's now 6ft. tall and plays in college.
