Look out sophomore outside hitter Calijo Heeb Calijo Heeb 5'9" | OH/DS/L Harrisburg | 2029 AR .

I’ve watched some video of Heeb from last season, and she caught my attention even as a freshman. She earned both All-Conference and All-State honors in her first year of high school volleyball. That’s quite an accomplishment for a freshman competing at the varsity level.

Now in her sophomore season, Heeb has another opportunity to make an impact on the biggest stage. Harrisburg has already pulled off one of the biggest surprises of the 3A tournament, knocking off Conway Christian in four sets in the quarterfinals. Now the Lady Hornets face a Mayflower team that just eliminated Crowley’s Ridge Academy.

For Harrisburg, getting a strong performance from Heeb on the outside will be important. Her ability to provide another offensive option could help the Lady Hornets keep pressure on Mayflower.

She earned recognition as one of the state’s top young players last season. Now she has a chance to help lead Harrisburg to a state championship appearance.
