Let’s load up on length in the middle. Steinlage was among the most intimidating athletes in the gym last weekend, boasting size that could tower over opposing blockers. However, we were most impressed by the Centralia sophomore’s agility and hustle in transition. Steinlage is a “setter’s best friend” with the kind of hitting window that can better the ball under any circumstances.

Another young player with a high ceiling, Steinlage put together a solid freshman season for Centralia and should only continue to improve. She has the size and skill set to take another step forward this fall and become an even bigger presence on the court. I’m looking forward to seeing her compete against players from larger schools this weekend and how her game translates against a different level of competition.

We’ll draw plenty of rankings headlines for the Manhattan Mayhem/Mamba camp. Steinlage ascended an age group for the 2026 club season, representing Manhattan Mayhem’s top 16s crew. The Centralia sophomore has already made a splash on the prep side by compiling over 160 kills in her debut season with the Panthers. Steinlage’s physical presence in the Manhattan Mayhem gym helped bolster her stock-riser case.

Steinlage is ranked No. 41 overall in the most recent rankings. She finished her freshman season with 162 kills and 93 blocks for the Panthers. She is not a player I have seen play in person as of yet. She earned her spot in the rankings by posting big freshman numbers on a state tournament-qualifying team. She plays club with Manhattan Mayhem.
