About Caroline

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I can play anywhere on the court, I am a utility player. This season I played outside and right side for school and outside, right side, middle, and DS for club. I always put in effort and I look for extra reps when I can. I have good work ethic and I always determined to get better.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I would describe myself as the energy on and off the court. I am loud, cheering after every point and smiling through every game. I as grow as a player and person my mental toughness has been growing too. I love volleyball and I think it shows through how I play and how I act.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am in National honors society for having a 4.29 GPA this fall semester. I am also involved in our girls soccer program at Edgewood. Sports has had a huge impact on my life so I also coach grade school girls basketball in my free time. I am in a club at Edgewood called STAR (Sisters Taking Active Roles). I am also part of LOVB club athlete council.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I do a lot of community service especially for my church, I enjoy giving back to my community. I have developed my leadership from playing sports my whole life and also from being a part of LOVB club athlete council. My teamwork improves each year, strengthening bonds with old teammates and creating bonds with new teammates.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

My most significant challenge was getting back into all of my athletics after being sick for a week and a half. During this time period I lost 8 pounds I felt so weak, it was hard to compete at a high level when my body couldn’t. It wasn’t only physically draining but mentally draining too. I missed so much school work it was hard to catch back up. However, I persevered and I worked my way back

What type of college are you looking for?

I just want to play volleyball and be around a great community of people. I want to continue to do the things I love while getting a great education. I want to go into engineering so any school that offers and engineering majors is what I am looking for. I also would like to stay in the Midwest or East Coast regions but that is not a huge factor when looking for colleges.
