About Cecily

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

My game day style is calm, meticulous, analytical of opponents strength/weaknesses and tenacious when the going gets tough.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I’m very chill, I don’t get nervous and know that everything I do is in God’s hands….even in volleyball.I go out there, deliver, support my teammates and always lean to my coaches for guidance in improving my game. I love challenges, big opponents, and know my place in the court at all times, I am a teammate first, and then I’m thunderous Cecily.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

SASO- Scholars & Athletes Serving Others Received the Presidential Award for my academic performance three years of MS.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

This year I became a team captain with my club team at Alamo and became a six rotation player. After winning the National Championship last year at Nationals (National Level), I realized that I wanted to go on a team where I could grow my skills in positions I hadn’t played much and help bring my skills to a team, going on Alamo’s Elite team is where I found GROWTH, character building happened.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

For three years I’ve delivered to my club organization and for three years I make P/E which means I have to go back and tryout… It used to bother me, but now it fuels me. Every year, I go back and show them that I will deliver wherever you put me and I have done that for Alamo…I was a big part of that National Championship game, as a M & OH. I love Alamo, I get it now… It fuels me.

What type of college are you looking for?

I’m looking for a college that will have the best program in Architecture & Design and one where my skills in volleyball will be utilized, where I can grow mentality in my potential career and volleyball.
