Player Bio
How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?
I am a Lefty, Right-side/setter who is always pushing myself to be a leader and uplift my teammates. Obviously being a lefty, it gives me an advantage for attacking cross court shots from the right side. I am a very aggressive player who is vocal on the court. I have excellent court coverage when playing back row defense. I have a unique serve angle and approach that adds variety to my targets.
Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?
My volleyball mentality is very focused and I have excellent court presence. I take the game very seriously, but I always make sure to have fun. I would to describe myself to be kind, compassionate and sometimes goofy.
Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?
I am a part of the National Charity League since 7th grade. It is a mother-daughter philanthropic, service and leadership organization that serves in our local northern Virginia community. My my found this organization because I had an intense desire to give back to my community. It all started when I organized a neighborhood clean up in 4th grade and I wanted more opportunities to help.
What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?
Off the court, in addition to NCL, I volunteer with my school's Best Buddies chapter and I always find time in the classroom or in my school community to be inclusive of those who may be struggling or feel like they can't fit in. I've held leadership positions such as my NCL Chapter secretary, Membership Recognition Chair and the Tea Chair.
Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.
Yes I have struggled with anxiety and ADHD for many years which made doing everyday tasks like school and sometimes staying on the volleyball court very difficult in a loud crowded convention center.. Luckily I had amazing support from my family and doctors. Anxiety is still something I struggle with, but I am happy to have volleyball as my outlet.
What type of college are you looking for?
Family is very important to me so I'd like to stay on the East cost, most likely a small to medium sized college within driving distance from Washington DC.
