Her ability to locate hitters in rhythm, even when off the net, has been key to her varsity success. Sherburne’s hands are clean and consistent, and she excels at disguising her sets — freezing blockers before feeding her pins or middles in stride. Her tempo control allows the offense to stay balanced, while her leadership and calm presence make her a natural floor general. She’s not afraid to get aggressive either, using smart setter dumps to expose open space and keep defenses guessing. Another 8^th grade setter running the courts is also in southeastern Minnesota hails from the small town of Spring Grove. So far the young Sherburne has put up 244 assists in her first varsity season, averaging 8.1 assists/set. Sherburne does a solid job setting the ball to the pin and finding her middles when off the net.  She also poses as an additional attack option being a lefty. She will attack or dump on the second ball, forcing teams to be on their toes on defense.
