About Daniele

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Hi, I'm Dani Clewis, I leverage my athleticism, speed, and court awareness to enhance my performance and contribute to the success of my team. I pride myself on speed, setting up the offense, making smart setting choices, reading the defense, moving the ball around, and working hard to improve my skills. My reliable serving & blocking has also contributed to my team's success.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am cheerful and positive person with great work ethics. I like to talk to people, compliment people, competitive, enjoy motivating my teammate, caring, coachable, determined, ambitious, hard-working, and dependable. My teams have relied on my leadership to get us through tough matches, that continues to make me a better teammate and player.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I'm a member of local church. Member of my High School Broadcast RPTV. https://athleteoftheyear.org/2025/dani-ce00

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I believe the most important quality, is your character, by having good character and a strong personality transcends into become a great leader. Effective communication skills is a plus when speaking to your teammates on and off the court. Having a great deal of respect for each player with compassion can build a better & stronger bond with your team. Being coachable!

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

As a Freshman, I was placed in a starting role when our junior setter decided to transfer schools, it was difficult as a freshman to become a leader so fast in my young high school volleyball career. I was extremely nervous because I was the youngest on our varsity team, having to motivate older girls was a challenge, it became easier for me as time progressed and the girls began to trust me.

What type of college are you looking for?

I'm looking for a college that will offer me a great education and a chance to represent their college volleyball program. I would like to play college volleyball because I feel that all my preparations have elevated my style of play to become a great Setter in college some day. Looking for new friendship would be on my list as well.
