The USA has called her up a couple times to participate in the National Training and Development Program (NTDP). At 6’0″ her height is not tall for a middle but she can also play right side. Her approach jump also reaches 10’2″.

One skill she can do quite well is put up a strong block. I recently named her as one of the top sweet sixteen middles who impress me with their ability to reject potential kills. As she gets physically stronger I can see her blocking game improve.

Eliana moved up seven spots in the ranking, from 14 to 7.

Even at 6’0′ Eliana can dominate at the net. She brings an approach jump of 10.2″. There is a chance for further growth as well as a higher approach jump as she gains physical strength.

Last year playing for the Metro 15 team they won the gold in the Junior Nationals in the National Division. Eliana was pretty dominant in the middle. The U.S. Junior National team has taken notice, inviting her to three NTDP training classes.

While she currently ranks number 14 in our class of 2028 this may see a slight increase based on her performance. This year the Metro 16 team has already earned a bid to the Open Division in Junior Nationals.

Eliana is a major prospect. Tall, strong, and a major hitter, she’s played Middle in club, and I’ve seen her get some time at RS as well. Her power is something very tough to overcome, especially during HS season, and her defense at the net is in the same class. It will be interesting to see if she plays around or if she’s at MB, but either way ,she is going to be a problem for most Howard County teams.

Pin hitters took some thought for me, but I’ve heard a few players say that rising Sophomore Eliana Koram Eliana Koram 6'0" | MB/RS Atholton | 2028 State VA is a big one to watch going forward. Bob has her ranked pretty high, with good reason, and another player out of that Metro factory, she can bring the pain. Playing at a relatively balanced Atholton, she should have a chance this season to really shine and make more noise than she already has.
