Junior National DMV Open Teams in Indy

<!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>Only two clubs qualified for bids in Open. Unlike the AAU, in the USAV teams must qualify to play in Open. That means playing in tournaments outside the DMV area against teams in other Regions. Only the top teams advance. For the Chesapeake and Old Dominion Region Metro and Paramount were the two clubs to advance to the Open Division. Last year Maryland Juniors put together a 14 team to qualify for Open, but most of those players moved this year to either Metro Travel or Metro National. </p> <!-- /wp:paragraph --> <!-- wp:paragraph --> <p>It was a good year for Metro. All their teams from 14-17 qualified for Open prior to the Chesapeake Regional Bid Championships. Sometimes it is not how you got to the dance that is important, but that you are in the dance. At that point you make an impact. A 37th place finish in the Triple Crown stood out.
