About Ellie

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a passionate player who wants to win every game no matter what. I am aggressive but will make the smartest decision to win the play. I love to bring energy and celebrate every point!

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a fun outgoing person but know how to focus on the court and get in the right head space to execute. I can stay level headed through hard games and help keep my teammates calm through challenges.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved FCCLA and renaissance for my school. I also play school basketball.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I did a week of community service at a Christian camp over the summer which showed me the importance of teamwork and acts of service. Playing 6 rotations and always being on the court made it important for me to be a leader and definitely improved my leadership skills overall.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

There’s nothing significant enough that I can think of.

What type of college are you looking for?

A college with a supportive community and safe society. A good reputation for academics and staff is also something I think is important. I live in a smaller town and am interested in branching out to other states.

The cabinet won’t be bare at Rock Creek, but the team will take a punch to the gut at graduation. Prather and three other key seniors have played their final matches for the Mustangs. Prather played a key role in the Mustangs’ success, registering 147 kills, 223 digs, and 279 serve receptions during her senior campaign. She is ranked No. 46 overall by Prep Dig and is an uncommitted prospect.

Prather and the Mustangs participated in the MOKAN Tournament this month at Washburn University, but I did not get a chance to see them play in person. She has a nice variety of video clips on her HUDL account. She has a smooth swing and can hammer the ball down the line. I like her jumping ability. She tallied 132 kills last season for Rock Creek, and I expect her workload to increase this fall. Prather is ranked No. 37 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026.

Prather and her Rock Creek teammates will compete on Day Two of the event at Washburn. Prather is ranked No. 37 overall in the Kansas Class of 2026. She recorded 132 kills and 28 blocks last season for the Mustangs. Rock Creek will be fielding two teams on Saturday. The Mustangs No. 1 team will compete in Pool A and open the tournament against Hays III at 9:50 a.m. Rock Creek II will compete in Pool B and will face Hays I at 9:50 a.m. on Court 2.
