Mid Prairie was able to punch their ticket to the state tournament in 2024 and they are looking for a return in 2025 with plenty of experience. However, they have a new athlete, a freshman on their roster in Elise Foster Elise Foster Elise Foster 5'6" | S/DS/L Mid-Prairie | 2029 IA .  With 342 digs on the season, Foster has proven she is a defender to know in Southeast Iowa.  She can handle a high volume of serve receive, anticipates well, and knows how to bring calm to the chaos in an out of system situation.  The Hawks have the top seed in their region where they will open regional play on Tuesday, October 21 against Davis County.

Foster served notice that she was going to be a factor in high school action for four years with her play early in 2025. The freshman ranked second among the Golden Hawks with 175 digs through the team’s first 17 matches. Operating as the team’s libero during the Live Like Like Tournament at Iowa City West in early September, Foster displayed a good feel for the game. She tracks the ball well in serve-receive and flashes quick reflexes in defending against the attack. With three and a half years of high school remaining, Foster is one to track moving forward.
