“I would have to shout out my little sister, Jeorgia Evans Jeorgia Evans 5'5" | DS/L Mid-Prairie | 2028 State IA , who is a junior at Mid-Prairie. Jeorgia commited to Iowa State over the summer, which was an exciting accomplishment to say the least, but what makes me even more proud is the growth she has shown as a leader. This season, she stepped into a new role as a captain and leader of her team and helped lead Mid-Prairie back to the regional final. One of the highlights was their upset over No.7 CPU, where she finished with 22 kills! Jeorgia works her butt off every single day, both on and off the court. She is constantly pushing herself to get better, and I know she has a bright future ahead of her. As a coach, I admire her work ethic and leadership, but as her sister, I couldn’t be more proud. I am so lucky I get to call her my sister.”

Jeorgia Evans Jeorgia Evans 5'5" | DS/L Mid-Prairie | 2028 State IA has been an absolute menace this season (in the best way possible, of course). The future Cyclone has been single-handedly beating up opponents left and right from every part of the court. Evans is currently leading the Golden Hawks in kills (388), digs (497), and aces (60). Not only is she a stat leader, but she’s an amazing team leader as well. This junior has such a bright future ahead of her, and I’m excited to see how she performs against Roland and hopefully in the state tournament.

Jeorgia Evans Jeorgia Evans 5'5" | DS/L Mid-Prairie | 2028 State IA has been one of my favorite players to watch so far this season. Her versatility and ability to make a major impact from anywhere on the court is so fun to watch. At a first glance, you don’t quite know what to expect if you haven’t watched her play before. However, it doesn’t take much for her to draw in you with her ability to jump out of the gym and the power she wields with her swing. The Iowa State commit is one you’ll definitely want to watch any chance you get.

Few players in the state experienced a rise on the recruiting trail as great as Evans did during the last year. The Mid-Prairie standout led the Golden Hawks back to the state tournament last year and locked in this club campaign in starring for a United outfit that reached the USAV Nationals during summer. Evans is a quick-twitch athlete with sharp reflexes. She moves very well laterally and in a straight line. Flowing smoothly with the match’s action, Evans puts herself in position to defend consistently against the attack. Her top traits along with keen reads aid her in holding up well in serve-receive. Evans is the type of player that has natural ability that can’t be taught, which gives her a lot of upside that’s reachable through more reps.

The younger sister of Jovi, Jeorgia resembles her sister in appearance and volleyball talents. A factor at the net with 89 kills (.328) through the Golden Hawks’ first 17 matches of 2025, Evans does her best work in the back row. She paced Mid-Prairie in digs with 214. She’s quick laterally, gets a sound read on the attack, and her reflexes aid her in serve-receive and squelching kill attempts from the opposition. Evans is focused and plays hard no matter the score. Only a sophomore, she’s one to monitor closely moving forward as a prospect with a considerable ceiling.

I watched Evans compete at last August’s Prep Dig Sizzle, at the state tournament and several times this club season. One thing is for sure, she’s a tremendous athlete. Evans flies around the court and displays quick actions. She moves well laterally and anticipates the attack well. While she will operate through six rotations with the Golden Hawks, she’s a standout back-row performer for United. Evans produced 155 kills, 116 assists, 431 digs and 35.0 blocks as a freshman on a state-tournament qualifier in 2024.
