Faris has been a staple for Minneota the past few years. She was playing some middle and then she would slide over to the right side. Faris is definitely a natural on the right side and she is down right explosive. She is so springy on the right side and knows how to play solid defense. Faris will crush the ball if you give her any space and at the state tournament she was relentlessly demolishing the line.

Faris can and will attack from anywhere and score points at will. She is a very explosive attacker and she’s got the experience deep in the post season to go with it. Faris is a physical player at the net and she can certainly overpower her opponents when needed. She has the Viking’s rolling after a 3-0 win over MACRAY on Monday. Their first Section opponent will be Dawson-Boyd who just eliminated Lac qui Parle Valley 3-0 on Monday. Faris will be looking at taking a lot of swings over the next couple weeks.

I saw Faris hit from just about every area on the net and no matter where she was, she was scoring points. She is a seriously explosive athlete and smooth operator. Faris has all the shots in her bag of tricks to go along with her jumping ability. She makes scoring look effortless.

Faris made her way onto my radar with her performance for Minneota at the Minnesota State Tournament. Her style of play showed an intense level of determination. Faris knows how to establish a block and she works hard to be involved offensively.
