I recently had the opportunity to catch up with Halvorson and watch her in action again, and it was impressive to see just how much she has developed into a dynamic offensive threat. She gets up well at the net, has a powerful arm swing, and does an excellent job of seeing the court and recognizing where the openings are. She has really become a smart, calculated attacker who knows how to use her athleticism and court vision to her advantage. With 341 kills and an average of 4 kills per set, Halvorson has established herself as a consistent offensive weapon.

Ella continues to be a steady and reliable presence for Mabel-Canton. The junior’s consistency at the net stands out, as she maintains an impressive hitting percentage while keeping opponents under pressure. Ella is quick and efficient moving to both pins, setting up a strong block and showing great court awareness on every play. Her combination of reliability, athleticism, and defensive instincts makes her a player to keep an eye on as she continues to grow her game.

Halverson is an explosive jumper and I was impressed with her hangtime. Sometimes we forget how effective the delayed swing can be. Halverson got better and better as the showcase went on and she found angles and opportunities to shine.
