Costello’s ability to anticipate plays and react accordingly made of her one of the most prolific passers in the event. She was very consistent and reliable in serve-receive, combining great positioning and impressive technique to make contact with the ball. Costello used her length well to get to balls sent to the last inches of the court when playing defense, and managed to efficiently get them to her setter. The libero was also very precise and efficient when setting in transition.
