Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Bring another senior into the spotlight. Reiling took Class B by storm with 6.7 digs per set in her final season with Lincoln Pius X. Even after a mid-season gauntlet full of tough matches, the Thunderbolts made a late-season rally to reach the state tournament. Reiling’s exceptional ball control fueled this triumph, setting up the team’s lethal first-ball offense.

Good luck finding defensive numbers comparable to Reiling’s. The Lincoln Pius X libero held a permanent spot atop Nebraska’s dig leaderboard with over 750 this fall. The state tournament gave us an in-person look at where these enormous numbers come from. Reiling is an instinctive defender who understands how to read opposing attackers and cover seams. She was locked in during Pius X’s battle with Norris and produced 13 digs against the eventual champions. We expect Reiling’s numbers to persist in the Thunderbolt record books for a while.

Lincoln-area liberos are generating monster numbers already. Reiling has retained her leadership role with Lincoln Pius X after racking up 4.4 digs per set for last year’s Class A quarterfinalist. The Thunderbolts are now in Class B, but their libero’s production has only risen. Reiling has begun her senior campaign with a staggering seven digs per set, keynoted by three 20-plus-dig matches. More highlight moments are on deck for the seasoned veteran.
