Ramirez-Rousseau’s year-round influence has propelled her up the list of Lincoln-area 2028s to follow. This series needs to address some of the state’s shutdown blockers, and Ramirez-Rousseau is an ideal starting point. The Lincoln Pius X middle blocker established a starting foothold with Thunderbolts last fall and immediately paid it off in the box score. Aside from her team-high hitting percentage and explosive offense, Ramirez-Rousseau’s 76 total blocks were among the best overall tallies in any class. She was never afraid to square up with the state’s top terminators, and that’s the perfect prelude to another year with VCNebraska. Ramirez-Rousseau’s 16 Elite crew is postseason-bound, and the middle blocker’s fearless attitude persists.

We’re staying in the middle for this one. Ramirez-Rousseau was part of a steady climb for last year’s VCNebraska 15 Elite lineup, culminating in a 15 National berth through the Great Plains Region. The Lincoln Pius X sophomore can execute the wide array of routes and patterns that are expected of a VCNebraska middle blocker. No matter which system 16 Elite favors this year, Ramirez-Rousseau will be a focal point of the team’s in-system offense.

Lincoln Pius X has trended upward since breaking into last year’s Class B tournament, and Ramirez-Rousseau has enjoyed a similar rise in her production. She has emerged as one of the most efficient attackers in the Thunderbolt lineup and hit 0.300 or better in over half of her LPS Classic contests.
