showed measurable growth in blocking discipline. After focusing on patience since her previous tournament, she translated that work into improved timing and controlled touches at the net. Her serve receive also contributed to offensive balance, and her team’s pool win earned movement up to Division 6.
She is refining her short cross-court serve to Area 4 to limit pin options and continuing to develop blocking not only to terminate but to slow attacks for her defense. Ivancovich carries a 4.2 GPA in advanced coursework and recently earned a spot on her high school JV beach team, where they secured their first win.

Ivancovich felt she took a step forward defensively this weekend, showing quicker movement and reaching balls she hadn’t been able to handle in previous tournaments. Her consistency in serve receive helped stabilize the offense and create scoring opportunities.
Her next focus is serving with more confidence and consistency, specifically improving her short serve and adding pace. Off the court, Ivancovich recently made her school’s beach volleyball team and is enjoying developing her beach game, meeting new teammates, and building new friendships.
Next tournament: SCSN Entry Event #2, February 1, 2026

took pride in her team’s upward momentum, finishing 67th in 15U SCSN and improving more than 20 spots from the end of last season. She identified serve receive as her primary focus moving forward, aiming to deliver more consistent passes that allow her setter to run a full offense, along with serving more intentionally to targeted zones.
Off the court, Emily is actively involved in the National Charity League, Pacific Coast Chapter, where she serves as her grade’s parliamentarian. Through NCL, she helps lead meetings and participates in community service initiatives that support local outreach efforts.
