About Emily

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I am a fierce competitor, always ready to compete at the highest level and win. I bring energy to the court and I expect my teammates to do the same.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

I am a positive and focused person, ambitious and focused. I am a high achiever and a leader, with a sense of urgency and passion for my activities.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I have been on the high honors honor roll since middle school - I have a cumulative 4.0 on a 4.0 scale, through all of middle school and high school to date. I am involved in SAVE, Key Club, Sting Cancer and Peers for Peers. I volunteer at my church and travel on missionary trips to South America.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

I am involved in Key Club (community service) and missionary work at my church. I have traveled to Guatemala and Honduras for mission trips. I have been selected for several leadership camps.

What type of college are you looking for?

I am looking for a college with a welcoming atmosphere and sense of community that allows me to focus on both volleyball and academics.

Lange was making really athletic plays all over the court to save the play or get the point. She is a do-it-all type of player and isn’t afraid to put the team on her back and find a way to score. Lange is solid in serve receive and has the athleticism to take some big swings out of the front row.
