Olivia played right side at the Top 250 Expo and was very impactful. She took some huge rips in positional and game-play. Olivia was consistent and powerful in driving over out-of-system balls. She did not make a lot of errors and seemed to know when to take big rips and when to drop the ball in a smart spot.
Claire played tough and aggressive at the net. She did not let much past her and was always ready to block, cover, or transition. Her discipline in her movement stood out. Claire made some great connections with her setters to terminate at the net. Claire is an athlete with great fundamentals and a lot of potential.
Highlights
Ireland was dynamic and consistent. She is very well-rounded as an athlete, and her serve receive was simple and clean. Ireland is an athlete who loves getting touches on the ball and executes very well in pass-to-attack. She was always ready to volunteer for drill demonstrations and is a talented 6-rotation athlete.
Highlights
Nicalai is an athlete who is new on my radar but was absolutely dominant. She is an incredibly smart player who sees the block in front of her and makes smart, consistent shots. She adjusts very well on the court and when given the opportunity can really rip the ball.
Aubrey is coming off a successful freshman high school season and is not slowing down. She is a powerhouse pin hitter who can play all six rotations. Aubrey is quickly emerging as a top talent in this class and an athlete to keep an eye on.
Highlights
Brooke puts in the work on the court. She was engaged in every play and worked to make herself available to swing nearly every time the ball came over the net. She pushes herself to react quickly to opposing setters and get a clean block up at the net. Her sheer effort set her apart on the court and made her very successful at the Expo.
As Addison continues to play competitive volleyball, she will be unstoppable. She is already athletic and powerful. Addison was highly efficient when she connected with her setters at the Expo. She has a big arm and a huge presence at the net on both offense and defense.
Highlights
I would have liked to see what Natalie’s hitting efficiency was at the Expo. I feel like every time I saw her she was manufacturing kills. Natalie has a big vertical and powerful arm swing.
Highlights
Emily is an explosive pin hitter. She can play all six rotations and is incredibly strong in defense and serve-receive. She adjusts well on out-of-system balls and has a massive vertical and good court awareness that helps her terminate at the net.
Lucy is a dynamic middle with both power and finesse with her swings. She has a high contact point and great control over her ball placement. Lucy mixes up her shots very well and rarely hits the same place twice in a row. She is very athletic and moves quickly and explosively across the net to put up a massive block.
Highlights
I have a feeling Greta is about to explode onto everyone’s radar. She is powerful, consistent, and very smart. Greta dominates on the right side, putting up a massive block and being disciplined in transition. Her cross-court shot is tough to defend and she will be a player to watch this club season.
Abby was so fun to watch play. She is very powerful, can swing on either pin and makes great shot selections. She sees the block in front of her and has the ability to bury a powerful swing in the deep corner. Abby has near-infinite potential and could be a dangerous six-rotation athlete in this class.
Highlights
Ava played at a very high level at the Expo. She impressed me with her ability to play all six rotations. Her defense was solid, and she made some great heads-up plays at the net. Ava was not afraid to take big swings on the ball when the opportunity presented itself.
