When playing middle back, Carter wasn’t afraid to take a big aggressive swing out of the backrow, contributing to the teams offense when needed. Her versatility and work ethic make her a huge asset on the court at all times.

“My role on the court would be described as a hustler. I will run through absolutely everything just to get a ball up. To elevate the players around me, I bring a super energetic energy to the court. While everyone prefers a different way to be celebrated, I’m able to work around what my teammates like to hype everyone up.”

🧠 In high-pressure moments, what’s your mindset and how do you stay composed?
“In high-pressure moments, I naturally go to an all-or-nothing mindset. I will run my body dry during a big match. While I’m flying across the court, I also try to stay as calm as I can for technique purposes.”

🏐 What’s something specific you’ve been working to add to your game this season, and why?
“Something I’ve been working on is staying calm. A defensive player needs to stay calm during plays to better see the court and read opponents.”

🌟 Off the court, how would your coaches and teammates describe you, and what personal qualities do you bring to a team culture?
“Off the court, my coaches and teammates would describe me as someone who always has great energy and a competitive attitude. I love to have fun but I always want to win. I love being silly with my teammates and coaches to create stronger bonds. I bring a very bonding quality to a team — once I start talking to someone, I just never stop.”
