Austin Kingsley | Prep Dig Scout
Cohee made a strong case to be Class C2’s player of the year in 2025. She somehow upped her outstanding freshman totals by putting up over 1,000 assists for GACC this fall. The Bluejays promptly made their postseason return, where Cohee’s composure and command shone once more. We’ll likely highlight Cohee again in 2026 as the Bluejays bring back a host of stars for another postseason push.

Perhaps we shouldn’t have been surprised by Cohee’s stellar command of the GACC offense. She has been a consistent assist leader in Nebraska’s Class of 2028 and has run the show since her freshman campaign. Still, stats aside, we were taken aback by Cohee’s bold, dynamic sets during the Bluejay bout with Oakland-Craig. She granted split-block opportunities to her hitters and was not afraid to take chances when off the net. It’s no wonder that a ten assist-per-set clip is just par for the course for Cohee.

Cohee is determined to bring Guardian Angels Central Catholic back where it belongs. The Bluejays missed out on last year’s big dance after claiming the No. 1 seed a year prior, but Cohee’s command has reached a new level in 2025. She is dishing out over 11 assists per set while offering the aggression, poise, and grit we’d expect from GACC. Cohee’s leadership has yielded an 18-2 record and one of the top spots on the Class C2 leaderboard.

Guardian Angels Central Catholic hopes to make up for 2024’s tournament absence, and the 9-1 Bluejays are already exhibiting some of that motivation. Cohee has piloted the team’s quick start with an incredible 10.9 assists per set and some savvy distribution to GACC’s frontcourt weapons. Last year allowed Cohee to get her bearings as a freshman starter, and she has clearly found her groove one year later. GACC is back in the title discussion.

Cohee garnered several mentions during our coverage of the 2024 high school season. Guardian Angels Central Catholic turned to a freshman to lead the offense after claiming Class D1’s No. 1 seed in 2023. This first-year starter racked up 8.5 assists per set last fall while piloting one of small-town Nebraska’s most efficient offenses. Cohee’s cohesive connection with her middle blockers was especially critical to GACC’s offense, making the Bluejays a tough in-system squad to stop. Expect GACC’s top setter to compile even bigger numbers next year.
