Gerths is another 2028 attacker who made a quick impression through her monster numbers as a freshman. She amassed over 300 kills for Guardian Angels Central Catholic last fall, but she’s eager to go even higher in 2025. Gerths has started with 4.5 kills per set as a sophomore, as the Bluejays find any way possible to get her involved. Moreover, Gerths has exhibited the defensive prowess needed to maintain a permanent six-rotation presence. This uptick in production could be enough to atone for GACC’s postseason hiatus in 2024.

Guardian Angels Central Catholic is making a major resurgence on the prep stage, and several underclassmen are aiding the effort. Gerths appeared on our watch list after putting up over 300 kills in her debut season with the Bluejays, but that was far from the full extent of her contributions. This all-around outside hitter also amassed massive dig numbers for GACC and was a steady leader in the serve-receive pattern. Watch for this small-town star in Year 2 with the Bluejays.

Guardian Angels Central Catholic has gained momentum since clinching the No. 1 seed in the 2023 Class D1 state tournament. Future teams will look different, however, after Gerths made an explosive entrance last fall and led the Bluejays in kills. She had 3.7 terminations per set in 2024 and also paced the team in total digs. Gerths was the total package at outside hitter and was not afraid to take some passing volume in serve-receive. GACC is stacked for another postseason push in 2025.
