About Evelyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

A pin hitter who can play all six rotations, I bring quick reads, smart decision-making, and nonstop hustle to every match. I’m fast, gritty, and always ready to go all-out for every ball. Volleyball isn’t just what I do—it's what I love.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My mindset is just as important as my skill: I stay positive, encourage my teammates constantly, and bring energy every time I step on the court. I play with grit, hustle, and confidence, using my volleyball IQ to stay one step ahead and make an impact on every point.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I play for my HS varsity Volleyball team. I am also on the Powerlifting team. Outside of school I play club for North Houston Elite and Beach for Third Coast

Selig is part of Waller’s varsity team at the high school level and plays club for North Houston Elite. She’s also a standout beach player, which helps explain her excellent all-around game and lower-body strength. Selig’s ball control makes of her a very productive player at the pin as she has what it takes to stabilize the team’s serve-receive system, while also delivering great production on defense. Offensively, she makes the most of her court vision and technical skills to find open spots and send the ball there, while making very few errors. She’s also fairly athletic, exploding to get to the ball on the back row and getting off the floor well to swing at the net.
