Selig had somewhat of a slow start to the game, but from the second set on was absolutely pivotal in Waller’s victory. The sophomore outside hitter was very consistent and reliable offensively, scoring at a very high rate from both the left and the right. Selig fired some powerful swings, but more often than not relied on her excellent court vision and superior technique to score points, finding gaps on the block, nice angles to swing and great locations to tip at. She also did well in serve-receive, efficiently handling the serves that went her way.

Selig’s ball control makes of her a very productive player at the pin as she has what it takes to stabilize the team’s serve-receive system, while also delivering great production on defense. Offensively, she makes the most of her court vision and technical skills to find open spots and send the ball there, while making very few errors. She’s also fairly athletic, exploding to get to the ball on the back row and getting off the floor well to swing at the net.
