About Evelyn

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

I would describe my gameplay style as very encouraging and energetic and talkative but knows how to keep the pace during a fast paced game but to also be consistent and controlled. I also play smart and I don’t do what’s best for me but I do what’s best for my team.

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

My personality is a big thing to me I can get very competitive but I know how to turn it down when I need to. I also like to have fun and work hard. My mentality is to also never give up and to pursue every ball no matter what.

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I am involved with a club named AVID which I have been in for 2 years so that it can help me to prepare for my future and to tour colleges and high schools to see what is right for me and my future.

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Skills and qualities I have developed is learning how to be a good leader and team mate and to work with my team and have good communication on and off the court and support them no matter what the outcome is. I am also very coachable and take what my coach says into consideration.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

The challenges I have faced in my life so far is just not to be so caught up in winning that I forget that losing comes with learning and that if we loose it is just another lesson to be learned.

What type of college are you looking for?

The type of college I am looking for is a public research college with lots of opportunities and to make sure they have strong academics and sportsmanship.
