Adelyn Chang Adelyn Chang 5'8" | S Corona del Sol | 2027 State AZ continues to be a huge piece of what keeps Corona competitive, using her quick tempo, smart decision-making, and ability to run an offense with confidence. Her command of the floor has been apparent for years, and it continues to be one of our favorite parts of watching her compete. Chang understands how to distribute the ball, recognizes what the defense is giving her, and knows when it’s time to lean on her go-to options.

The numbers show just how productive she has been. Chang currently sits sixth in her class in assists and 11th overall in the state of Arizona with 528 assists to date. But she’s far from a one-dimensional setter. She has also contributed 30 aces, 16 blocks, and 113 digs, showing her ability to impact the game in multiple rotations. Her connection with her middles is especially fun to watch. Chang isn’t afraid to establish the middle and run a quick offense, which forces opposing blockers to stay disciplined and creates opportunities for her pins. She does a great job recognizing who has the hot hand and putting her hitters in positions to be successful, particularly when points get tight.

Chang also brings plenty to the defensive side of the ball. She competes hard on defense, works at the net as a blocker, and can turn a defensive play into an offensive opportunity quickly. Her combination of court awareness, tempo, consistency, and decision-making makes her much more than someone simply accumulating assists. She truly runs the floor, and her ability to control an offense has been a major part of Corona’s competitiveness this season.

Adelyn Chang controlled the floor with elite tempo, precision, and advanced decision-making throughout the day. What separated Chang was how effortlessly she managed the offense under pressure — consistently delivering a fast, clean release while keeping blockers guessing. Her hands stayed disciplined across every contact, and she showed the ability to deliver accurate, hittable balls from all areas of the court.

Chang’s high-level IQ was evident in how she sequenced plays and created scoring windows for her hitters. She stretched defenses with tempo, distributed with purpose, and consistently chose the right option in transition. Whether running middles in rhythm, pushing pace to the pins, or stabilizing broken plays, she operated with control and confidence. Her command, consistency, and offensive awareness placed her firmly among the top setters on the floor. ~Theresa @prepdigdakotas

Adelyn had an exceptional season at Corona, serving as one of the catalysts that propelled her team all the way to a 6A State Finals appearance. Finishing the season just shy of 1,000 assists while also recording 219 digs, Adelyn proved she is not only an elite distributor but a complete, well-rounded setter who impacts the game on both sides of the ball. Her willingness to defend, compete through long rallies, and lead vocally made her invaluable to her team’s success.

As a member of the 17 Thunder squad, Adelyn will only continue to elevate her game while strengthening an already dangerous offense. Surrounded by high-level talent and pushed in a competitive training environment, she is developing into a true driving force at the position. With her senior year approaching, Adelyn will continue to show why she’s a top setter in the state this club season.

Adelyn had a great tournament for Corona Del Sol, running a very fast and effective offense for them throughout the tourney to help lead them to the Silver Championship.

Adelyn averaged close to 9 assist a set for the Aztecs as she seamlessly set balls to her pins hitters from all over the floor. Her connections with her middles are also exceptional, it always seemed like the middles had perfect sets and would terminate on command because of it. Her decision making was also elite as she was able to read the defense and know when they were camping out on certain hitters to get the ball to the one on one match ups.

She should a lot of poise and leadership being a setter for the #2 team in 6A. Her energy was great and she always wanted to cheer on her teammates when they did something well. On a team with so many great players she really stood out with how well she handled herself and with her energy and passion. The physical abilities are there, but what made her standout was all the little things coaches look for (energy, communication, poise) as she did all that at a high level.

Adelyn is a top level setter and her hitters are the beneficiaries of her elite abilities. She was easily one of the best setters at the tournament and was able to stand out with her high level game play and court IQ. We look forward to seeing her jump in the rankings for 2027 prospects when the update comes out!
