Please welcome Miss Gandy officially to the State Rankings. She is currently ranked as the 62nd best overall prospect in the 2028 Class according to our Prep Dig Texas State Rankings. She plays for Oak Ridge High School and also for the TAV Houston volleyball club. What stands out the most to the casual observer in her game is that she is tall and plays well above the net. However, when you really watch her closely, you will see that she has the unique ability to play multiple positions along the net at a very high level. Due to her vertical, power, and great vision, she uses all of those tools in order to battle at the net on the defensive end. I would easily classify her as a shut down blocker due to her amazing ability to read the hitter’s angle and adjust her arms while she is still in the air to take away space at the net. Any championship defense starts with great blockers and she is a prime example of an elite one. Not only does she slow the opposition down, but when her blocks score, they score with authority and this creates a lot of momentum for her team. If used properly, she can be a game changer.
