Gabi was an immediate standout, showcasing all the skills of a top-tier setter and making it look effortless. Whether it was a perfect pass, an off pass, or even a tight pass, she consistently managed to adjust and place the ball in the perfect spot for her hitters to make a strong attack. Not only is her IQ through the roof, but, when necessary, she has mastered the ‘side set’ to the pins when passes are tight. Her hands are incredibly clean, and her ball placement is always on point, giving her hitters along the net the best chance to score. Papion also had the opportunity to showcase solid defensive skills in right back, and she rarely, if ever, called for help—even when the passes were way off target.
