She has a quick transition and can turn the ball around the block to find scoring opportunities. Smith was a difference-maker this weekend, helping NPJ 18 Seattle National to a second-place finish- The Vandals have a good one arriving next fall.

Smith has verbally committed to the University of Idaho, and the future Vandal is an extremely hard worker on the court. She is always available for her setter in transition, and when she attacks, she can turn the ball to either angle around the block or drop in a killer tio to score. The senior is enjoying a stand-out final season playing for Seattle Prep, and the Panthers are currently 10-1 in the Metro League.

Smith shows strong hands at the net, recording solid blocks against great competition throughout the tournament, She worked hard against Idaho Crush, throwing up a a big solo block in the second set. On quick sets Smith is finding the seam around the block and away from the middle back to score. Her arm swing is aggressive and she continues to hustle and make herself available in transition.

Smith is a strong presence at the net and was part of an excellent Seattle Prep frontline during the school season. She is dynamic when finding a seam running a quick set and is not afraid to swing hard angles off a blocker’s hands. She has a growing chemistry with setter Wright that should pay dividends as the season goes on.
