About Maddy
Expert Analysis
Michelle Bamford | Prep Dig Scout
Maddy Conner is a left-handed right side who can score with power, change speeds, read blocks, and bring real energy into every rally.
That is not all Maddy brings to UA Next.
Her game is built around attacking range, but what makes her dangerous in this setting is how many answers she already has when the first swing is taken away.
Tooling hands. Changing tempo. Finding seams. Staying aggressive.
At the net, her blocking matches her offensive presence, creating the kind of player who can shift momentum on both sides of the ball.
I thrive in high competition environments because I rise to that level.
That is exactly what this event will ask of her.
Verbally committed to Boston College, Maddy’s game feels explosive, creative, and built for roster-earning moments.

Conner is a presence on the right side, with prototype size and outstanding press as a blocker. The Boston College commit continues to grow her game and looked increasingly athletic and confident in matches against Central Kitsap and Ferndale. Conner makes smart moves as a blocker and isn’t afraid to dive into the angle or slide over and help on an obvious middle attack.

Showcase coaches raved about Conner’s positive court presence and ability to terminate at the Washington Expo. The 6’2″ lefty plays energetically, communicating with her teammates and adapting quickly. Conner has all the length and blocking ability college programs are looking for in a right-side; she swallows up tight sets and can shut down outside attackers.

Connor is the type of 6’2 lefty thumper that coaches covet on the right side. She is harnessing her powerful arm swing and back row defenders are paying price as she rockets balls of them for kills. Her shut down blocking is trouble for opposing outsides who have to work against her, she will eat up tight sets and confidently stuff down an overpass with two hands. Connor was a big part of a Metro League championship with Seattle Prep, she will be with WVBA again this club season.

The left hander from Seattle Prep gave everyone a look at why she has such great upside as an opposite. At 6’2 with power and a great frame, Conner is full of potential. When she snaps a ball down off a solid backset it’s easy to project her as a terminal, textbook right side attacker. Her length is ideal and she was working hard as a blocker throughout the morning. As with many young, tall players, Connor still has room to put it all together and develop. Coaches at the Expo expect this club season to be a massive development opportunity for the 2027 prospect.
