About Grace

How would you briefly describe your gameplay style?

Quick and proactive defense player, agression on the court

Can you provide a brief description of your mentality or personality?

The next ball mentality of letting the last point go and looking forward to the next ball and playing on that moment. Enjoying the time I have given to me, making the most memories I can, and pushing myself hard for those who can’t

Are you involved in any clubs, organizations, or have you received any non-sport awards?

I wasin a drama club at Masters Conservatory for 2 years! I recieved many awards when I was in American Heritage girls with lots of awards badges!

What skills or qualities have you developed, such as leadership, teamwork, or community service?

Definitely picking myself up as a leader and realizing how much every single part of the team works hard no matter where you are. So putting your hours and work in is so important.

Have you faced any significant challenges? If so, please describe.

Our previous school season we had roughly 5 injuries on our team, pushing us to adversity and learning to truly work and excel in what we were given. We got short on multiple players at one tournament not having a setter and having an amazing teammate step up to do that. Learning to rally together and work towards it no matter the circumstances.

What type of college are you looking for?

Somewhere I can grow, the professors there truthfully care about my success and my coaches and teammates push myself to succeed. Somewhere I know I have a home long after graduation, where I make memories I will look back on. Somewhere they push me to my point and help me to excel.

Grider is a sound libero in this class for a number of reasons. She can dive after balls including pushes toward the lines. She has great technique with her passes to put her teams in a good offensive rhythm. Grider reacts quickly on the short hard hits to square balls up with her arms and make smooth forward passes.
